Red Zone Academy held its 3rd Player Camp of the off season once again at Rick Hansen Secondary. The camp focused on Offensive Line Fundamentals with Guest CFL Players Jon Hamiester-Ries from the BC Lions, Justin Sorensen from the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and Sean Ortiz of the BC lions. The camp was a big success having players from all over the Lower Mainland at Rick Hansen looking to better their Offensive line skills. We worked with athletes ranging with ages 10-17 yrs. on run blocking and pass blocking fundamentals. It was nice to see coaches come out and walk around and observe the techniques being taught by the Pro Athletes.
Watch for our next camp, Special Teams. We will work on Punt, Field Goal, and Kick-off kicking fundamentals. We also will work with the holders and long snapping.
